Day 3 With Google Assistant - Local Supermarket Voice Search and the Weather
I'm coming down with a bit of a cold, so today's post will only include two voice search queries. Let's jump right in.
Nations Supermarket
Curious about the closing time of a supermarket, I resorted to asking Google Assistant for the store hours. I'm not 100% sure if this was a conscious decision, but it seemed pretty automatic to look up hours via voice search.
Ok Google, what time does nations in Missisauga close
Google Assistant returne the hours:
9AM - 10PM
Done!
And once again, the weather!
Always. I wonder if I should be writing about this often or not.
Nevertheless, there was an interesting response on Google Assistant's part. This time, I was asking about the weather for the next day:
Ok Google, what's the weather tomorrow in Celsius
"It looks like a pleasant day"
Hmm...it shows -13 throughout the morning. We might have to revisit what a pleasant day means!
Conclusion
I know it's only day 3, but it feels like I might prefer using voice search for simple questions like these.
There's just this sort of feeling of accomplishment when I ask Google Assistant some questions. As if performing voice search just makes me feel good inside. I don't know. I'll flush this feeling out in a later blog post. For now, let's go with that.
Day 3 in the books! Til the next post!
